Novice and experienced runners alike will enjoy this five-part series that visits great cities and spectacular parks in New Zealand, Australia, and Germany.  On the urban tours, you'll visit architectural marvels, including the Sydney Opera House, the Auckland Sky Tower, and Munich's City Hall.  On the park tours, you'll see a host of natural wonders, including Cathedral Cove, The Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, and the waterfalls of the Wimmbachklamm in Germany.  The full series includes: Auckland and Wellington Run; Germany Run; North Island, New Zealand Run; South Island, New Zealand Run; Sydney Run.

After numerous teasers, including our behind-the-scenes video, our latest Run series has finally arrived.  Nearly, anyway.  We've been hard at work prepping this new series in time for the holiday, and they have indeed gone to press.  The videos will be made available for pre-order starting November 22, so that you can make use of our THANKSGIVING2012 discount code.  DVDs will ship the week of December 17.  Downloads will be available shortly before that.

Introducing Indoor Cycling Group World Tour

Posted by Ruben Grijalva on June 07, 2012 (0 Comments)

ICG World Tour is a new collaboration with our friends at Indoor Cycling Group that features beautiful scenic rides and inspiring workouts designed by master trainer Jim Karanas. Each World Tour workout is carefully designed to reflect its unique terrain, so that a ride through the Italian Alps is a completely different experience than a ride on the Seattle waterfront. Virtual Active's compelling visuals combined with Coach Karanas's immersive narration will have you feeling the heat on your face as you grind through Death Valley and the wind at your back as you coast down Timmelsjoch.

ICG World Tour is replacing our Virtual Active Advanced Cycle line. We've re-imagined the indoor cycling experience and designed a new product that is substantially better. In addition to an improved workout format, we've included two thirty minute expeditions with each DVD and download. The DVD features the option to play the two workouts consecutively for a sixty minute ride. Basic rides are also available for those who want to enjoy the scenery alone. The first series includes American Southwest, Northern Italy, Pacific Northwest, and Wild California.

Introducing Compass

Posted by Ruben Grijalva on December 27, 2011 (0 Comments)
Compass takes you to Benetteville, on the edge of Yosemite National Park.
We're pleased to announce the launch of our newest Virtual Active hiking program: Compass. Compass distinguishes itself from our Hike series by its inclusion of an on-shot guide.  Naturalist John Ford leads you on walking tours of beautiful trails, locating and discussing their most fascinating natural and historical features.  The program places more emphasis on these scenic details and less on workout technique.  If you're a nature-lover seeking a relaxing, informative hike, Compass is pointed in your direction.

Each Compass program includes two workouts, each of which tours a single trail in depth.  Longer trails are split into two parts, which can be played individually for a half-hour workout, or consecutively for a one-hour workout.  Shorter trails are coupled with another trail with a similar location or theme.  Compass Series 1 includes four installments: Angel's Landing, Benetteville Trail, Lundy Canyon, and The Pinnacles.  Purchase them individually ($19.95 DVD, $9.95 Download), or save by picking up the complete set ($69.95 DVD, $34.95 Download).
